Building Hope: Newest Housing Project for Trosa’s Substance Abuse Recovery Program
Generous Donation from Pegasus Associates Lighting
Helps Complete Reconstruction

RALEIGH, NC, July 20 – When Triangle Residential Options for Substance Abusers, Inc. (TROSA) sought out various building materials for their newest housing project, Pegasus Associates Lighting offered to provide recessed lighting for the house’s four bathrooms.  The donation of eighteen recessed shower trims and housings, a $600 value, helped TROSA put a three-week estimated completion date on refurbishment.

The “Elizabeth Street House” in Durham, NC will house 17 residents in the substance abuse recovery program.  Greg Fenn, In-Kind Donations Manager at TROSA, said that restoring the building has been a long and difficult process.  The original house was built in the 1920’s. 
The donated lighting products for the house’s bathrooms will help contractors get that much closer to finishing refurbishments so residents can move in.  “It’s something a lot of people take for granted, but we don’t,” said Fenn.  “Every little bit helps.”

TROSA is a two-year, comprehensive residential substance abuse recovery program.  All care, housing, food and clothing is provided to its 375 residents free of charge.  Founded in 1994, its innovative therapeutic and entrepreneurial approach is respected in the substance abuse recovery community.  TROSA “Each One, Teach One” Motto encourages residents to collaborate and share valuable vocational skills.
