Description of Fluorescent T4 Swing-Down Light Fixture
FIXTURES
- Model: PALFLSW-1621: 16 watts, 21in long
- Lamp Housing is Adjustable: the mirrored reflector lamp housing swings down and rotates 180 degrees to direct the light where it is needed
- White Finish: white
- Very Little Heat: gives off very little heat
- Complete Unit: T4 Swing-Down Fluorescent Fixtures come with a T4 Warm White fluorescent lamp, an attractive, easy-to-clean, ribbed plexiglass cover that protects the T4 fluorescent lamp, a 12-inch Flexible Connector, an on/off rocker switch pre-installed on the fixture, and a 6ft cord-and-plug with a two-prong polarized plug
LAMPS
- Fluorescent Lamp Is Included: a T4 fluorescent lamp is supplied with fixture
- Good Lamp Life: rated life is 10,000 hours on average (Lamp is easily replaced.)
Caution: always be certain that the lamp is seated properly in both of its sockets. Be sure that both pins of each end are inside their respective socket and that the lamp is rotated 90 degrees once the pins are in the sockets. Failure to make good electrical contact between the pins and its socket may result in arcing and excessive heating of the socket.
- Good Amount of Light: 960 lumens (approximately equal to that of a 60W incandescent light bulb)
- Slim Diameter: T4 lamps are 4/8in in diameter
- Lamp Wattage: 16 watts
- Warm White Lamp: color temperature of 3100K (warm white)
ELECTRICAL FEATURES
- Quiet Electronic Ballast: built-in lightweight electronic ballast provides instant-on starting with no flickering and cool quiet operation
- Energy Efficient: 16 watts of power
- Easy to Link Fixtures Together: T4 Swing-Down units may be linked together in one continuous line using Flexible Connectors of 12in or 24in in length. As many as 10 units may be linked together in one continuous line using the Flexible Connectors.
- Not Dimmable: these fluorescent fixtures are not dimmable
INSTALLATION
- 2 Types of Electrical Connections: the Fluorescent T4 Swing-Down Light Fixture may be plugged into a local receptacle or it may be hardwired to an optional Hardwire Box. You may order the optional Hardwire Box in the Accessories tab
- Plug-In Electrical Connection: each unit is supplied with a 6ft cord-and-plug adapter with a two-prong polarized plug that can be plugged into any receptacle
- Hardwire Electrical Connection: unit can not be hardwired directly. However, it can be first connected to a Hardwire Box, which, in turn, can be hardwired to power.
- Easy to Install: please refer to these Installation Instructions (PDF). Always check local electrical codes and the National Electrical Code (NEC) before installing any lighting products. It is also wise to consult with a licensed electrician in your geographical area about any electrical details that you might have questions about and to make certain that you are satisfying all of the appropriate electrical codes.
